Pros of Unify

This app is seriously amazing, cheap and easy to use. We’ve had a WooCommerce site for over a couple of years now and had very few transactions in a month that we would hand enter, the last few months have seen a rise in sales and we found ourselves getting stuck entering records one after the other. Then we used Unify to upload the sales information in excel format, said one of our users.

Unify connects with almost all of the major shopping carts, it’s easy to install and integrates with QuickBooks Online without a hitch. The first time we synced Unify with QuickBooks Online, it was very straight forward taking full advantage of the Intuit App Center sync process. Finally, the gap between QuickBooks Online and the webstores/e-commerce platforms have been bridged. What took us hours to do in the past, no w just takes a couple of minutes.

The process Unify follows to have individual transactions flow into QuickBooks Online with all the information is amazing.

The reporting is extensive as well. You can view financial reports of all channels; the report includes data on revenue, inventory, order volume, expenses and a lot more for insights on trends and patterns. Unify offers drill down on specific areas such as vendor orders and customer behavior from the customer and inventory reports.

Unify is an app that you must have to increase productivity within your workforce. Tech Support is one of the best, fast responsive and to the point. The service is quick and always successful. I have been able to resolve any delays in processing a new order to my QuickBooks Online account via the online chat box feature.

Cons of Unify

Unify’s connections with all shopping carts could be simpler. This is not necessarily an issue with Unify, but we would love to see a tighter integration with web stores, particularly in uploading PHP files for the store connector.

Unify currently has no shipping module. Sales tax - This is a general issue and not necessarily an issue with Unify, but as sales tax issues become more complex, shopping carts will need to be able to accommodate multiple state sales tax reporting.

Another shortcoming of Unify was that it does not pick up changes/adjustments to an order/sale after it's already been through the Unify Cloud. This ends up a problem when it comes to refunds/credits, in which case they have to be entered manually.

The other thing that was a little frustrating for us was the fact that it couldn't sync orders that were made before we created our QuickBooks online account, because you can't have an order before a product start date.

Overall, a great product.
